Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Salesforce Expert Consultant supports the planning, coordination, and execution of Salesforce initiatives with the goal of strengthening Admissions and Marketing operations, enhancing data quality and reporting, and supporting growth initiatives across HEC Paris. The role focuses on hands-on system configuration, customization, automation, data maintenance, reporting, integrations, and user support across Admissions, Marketing, alumni, corporate, government, and academic partner activities, while also contributing to institution-wide Salesforce development and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Salesforce CRM & Business Process Enablement

  • Design, configure, customize, and optimize Salesforce CRM solutions to support Admissions, Marketing, and institutional business processes.

  • Translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions that improve operational efficiency, data integrity, and user experience.

  • Manage and enhance Salesforce workflows, automations, approval processes, and validation rules to streamline business operations.

  • Administer user access, profiles, roles, and permission sets to ensure system security, compliance, and best-practice governance.

  • Develop and maintain insightful reports, dashboards, and analytics to support leadership decision-making and performance monitoring.

  • Provide ongoing system support, troubleshooting, and best-practice recommendations to internal stakeholders.

  • Lead and contribute to institution-wide Salesforce enhancement projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Enable and upskill Admissions and Marketing teams through structured training, documentation, and knowledge-transfer programs to ensure sustainable platform adoption.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud & Customer Journey Optimization

  • Design, build, and optimize automated customer journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with a strong focus on lead generation, brochure downloads, lead nurturing, and conversion optimization.

  • Create, configure, and maintain journeys in Journey Builder, ensuring seamless integration with CRM data sources, landing pages, and multichannel communications.

  • Develop and manage Cloud Pages landing pages and forms to capture leads, validate data, and trigger automated journeys.

  • Manage leads generated by external agencies, including data uploads, validation, segmentation, and synchronization with Salesforce CRM.

  • Collaborate closely with marketing stakeholders to translate campaign objectives into high-performing Marketing Cloud solutions.

  • Ensure effective lead lifecycle management from initial capture through nurturing, scoring, and handover to Admissions/Sales teams.

  • Monitor journey and campaign performance, analyze results, and recommend continuous improvements to increase engagement and conversion rates.

  • Ensure data quality, regulatory compliance, and adherence to Salesforce best practices across all Marketing Cloud implementations.

  • Provide ongoing optimization, troubleshooting, documentation, and governance for Marketing Cloud processes and automations.

Minimum Requirements Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).

  • Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Consultant, or related) are highly desirable

  • 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, with proven expertise in designing, configuring, customizing, and optimizing Salesforce solutions

  • Demonstrated experience managing workflows, automations, reports, dashboards, user access, and system integrations within Salesforce environments.

Skills and competencies

  • Proven hands-on experience as a Salesforce Consultant, Administrator, or similar role.

  • Strong expertise across the Salesforce ecosystem (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, or equivalent)

  • Demonstrated experience in workflow automation, reporting, dashboards, and user access management

  • Experience with Salesforce integrations and data management

  • Ability to translate business needs into technical Salesforce solutions

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, project-based environment
