Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The Salesforce Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining Salesforce solutions that support AIU s academic and administrative operations. This role focuses on Education Cloud and Experience Cloud implementations with preferred experience in Marketing Cloud used for email and WhatsApp communications. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and secure Salesforce solutions that enhance user experience and institutional performance.

span>Key Responsibilities

  • Design and customize Salesforce solutions across Education and Experience Clouds to improve system performance and user experience.
  • Configure Lightning (Aura/LWC), Flows, and declarative tools to support automation and efficiency.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions aligned with institutional goals.
  • Develop and maintain API integrations between Salesforce and external systems, preferably with education-specific platforms such as Banner (SIS) and Canvas (LMS).
  • Conduct testing and validation to ensure solution quality and reliability.
  • Apply best practices in governance, security, and optimization to maintain compliance and stability.
  • Stay current with Salesforce updates and recommend enhancements to improve functionality.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura and Salesforce configuration tools.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with external platforms using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce automation tools such as Flow, Process Builder, and Workflow Rules.
  • Proficiency in data migration tools like Data Loader or dataloader.io.
  • Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (required).
  • 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including work with Education Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
  • Desirable to have Experience with Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Email Studio)
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II, or cloud-specific certifications).
