Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate sandblasting equipment to clean, smooth, and prepare surfaces for painting or coating.

• Select appropriate abrasives and adjust equipment settings based on the material being blasted and the desired

finish.

• Mask and protect areas that should not be blasted.

• Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure quality and uniformity of the finish.

• Maintain and clean sandblasting equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.

• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

• Work with other team members to complete projects on time and to client specifications.

• Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Proven experience as a sandblaster or in a similar role.

• Knowledge of sandblasting techniques, equipment, and material.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with qualitative and/or quantitative

productivity standards.

• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the company standards.

• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical labor for extended periods.

• Comfortable working in various positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling.


Essential skills:

• Proficiency in operating sandblasting equipment and tools.

• Knowledge of different types of abrasives and their appropriate uses.

• Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment effectively.

• Precision in masking, blasting, and inspecting surfaces to ensure high-quality finishes.
