Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Act as a key consultant to understand, analyze, and translate engineering-related business requirements into SAP solution designs, focusing on SAP modules related to engineering processes such as SAP PLM, CAD integration, product lifecycle management, and engineering change management.
· Lead the implementation, configuration, and support of SAP Engineering solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
· Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams to streamline engineering workflows through SAP, including Bill of Materials (BOM) management, document management, and revision control.
· Conduct workshops and gather detailed requirements to develop functional specifications and process flows tailored for engineering departments.
· Collaborate with technical teams to facilitate system integration, data migration, and interfaces between SAP Engineering modules and other enterprise systems.
· Provide end-user training, create documentation, and offer ongoing support to ensure system adoption and effective usage.
· Troubleshoot and resolve SAP Engineering related issues, enhance functionalities, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
· Stay updated with the latest SAP Engineering functionalities and product releases to recommend upgrades and innovations.
Desired Candidate Profile
· Bachelors degree in Engineering Information Technology or related field.
· 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience as an SAP Engineering Functional Consultant or similar role.
· Strong expertise in SAP Engineering modules such as SAP PLM Engineering Change Management ECM, Document Management System DMS , and integration with CAD systems.
· Familiarity with product lifecycle management processes and engineering change processes.
· Proficient in requirements gathering, process analysis, and system configuration.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise between engineering and IT.
· Experience in end-to-end implementation projects and support.
· SAP certifications in Engineering or PLM modules preferred.
