Roles & Responsibilities
No. of Beds: 26
Care Ward D (CWD) provides acute care to pediatric hematology and oncology patients from one month to 14 years of age. The Unit consists of twenty positive air pressure rooms.
This child-friendly unit is located on the second level of the new expansion area of the King Fahad Centre for Children s Cancer (affectionately known as CCC). The majority of the children admitted to the center are infants, toddlers and of pre-school age, although patients are admitted up to age of 14. On rare occasions adolescents are admitted if the patient is still under the care of the pediatric hematology/oncology physician.
A sitter or parent is encouraged to stay with the patient to promote family centered care. Benefits It is our client's aim to attract highly educated, skilled and experienced staff.
