Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage PV SCADA systems for solar power plant operations

  • Ensure SCADA cybersecurity compliance and system integrity

  • Perform regular system updates, troubleshooting of software, network, and communication issues

  • Maintain and manage communication with field devices, PLCs, RTUs, and IEDs

  • Integrate SCADA systems with SQL databases, data historians, and existing DCS systems

  • Support system configuration, testing, and validation activities

  • Carry out on-site commissioning, testing, and performance verification

  • Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and schematics

  • Support and train operators on SCADA system usage and basic troubleshooting

  • Coordinate with project, electrical, and instrumentation teams during execution

Desired Candidate Profile

  • SCADA Engineer with hands-on experience in power or renewable energy projects

  • Strong understanding of SCADA architecture, networking, and cybersecurity

  • Experience working in site-based / project environments

  • Able to work independently and under tight project timelines

  • Strong documentation and communication skills

  • Flexible to work 6 days per week

  • Locally available in Qatar or able to mobilize immediately

  • Available for short-term (2-month) project assignment
