Key Responsibilities:

Scaffold Assembly and Installation:

• Erect, assemble, and dismantle scaffolding structures according to design specifications and safety guidelines.
• Ensure scaffolds are properly anchored, level, and stable to support workers, equipment, and materials.

Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, ensuring that all scaffolding work is carried out safely.
• Inspect scaffolds for any signs of damage or instability, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and that scaffolding is set up with proper guardrails, ladders, and access points.

Scaffold Inspection and Maintenance:

• Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding systems to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety standards.
• Perform maintenance or repairs on scaffolding, such as replacing damaged components or tightening loose fittings.

Material Handling:

• Transport and organize scaffold components, such as pipes, platforms, and brackets, in an efficient and safe manner.
• Ensure proper storage of scaffold materials to prevent damage and ensure availability for future use.

Collaboration with Other Trades:

• Work closely with construction teams, engineers, and other trades to ensure that scaffolding aligns with the needs of the project.
• Coordinate with supervisors and managers to ensure scaffolds are installed in a timely manner.

Blueprint and Plan Interpretation:

• Read and interpret scaffolding design plans and blueprints to ensure the correct type of scaffold is assembled.
• Make adjustments to the scaffolding design as needed based on site conditions or changes in the project.

Load and Capacity Management:

• Ensure that scaffolding structures are designed and built to safely handle the required loads.
• Perform load tests and ensure scaffolds are rated for the weight they will support, including personnel, equipment, and materials.

Safe Dismantling:

• Safely dismantle scaffolding once the job is complete, ensuring that all components are removed without damage to the structure or surrounding areas.
• Organize and store dismantled scaffolding materials for future use.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain records of scaffold inspections, repairs, and materials used.
• Report any safety concerns, accidents, or structural issues related to scaffolding to supervisors immediately.
