Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and create detailed scaffolding plans that comply with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure scaffolding designs are effectively integrated into overall project plans.
- Conduct site inspections to assess conditions and determine the best scaffolding solutions for various construction projects.
- Engage in quality control processes, ensuring that all scaffolding structures meet the required performance and safety standards.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulations to continuously improve scaffolding practices.
- Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with scaffolding operations, implementing solutions to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Train and supervise scaffolding crews to ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with safety practices.
- Oversee the installation and dismantling of scaffolding structures, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and protocols.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including drawings, calculations, and compliance reports.
- Select appropriate materials and equipment for scaffolding, ensuring they meet industry standards and project requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certification in scaffolding design and safety, such as CISRS or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in scaffolding engineering or a related construction field.
- Expertise in relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards specific to scaffolding.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions on-site.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other scaffolding design software for creating detailed plans.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with diverse teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong leadership qualities, capable of motivating and guiding scaffolding teams effectively.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform site inspections and oversee scaffold installations in various weather conditions.
