Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all scaffolding and lifting operations, ensuring they comply with project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding and lifting equipment, identifying and rectifying any defects or hazards promptly.
  • Supervise the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding systems, guaranteeing structural integrity and worker safety.
  • Coordinate lifting activities, including the selection of appropriate lifting gear and the implementation of safe lifting procedures.
  • Provide comprehensive training and supervision to scaffolding and lifting teams, fostering a culture of safety awareness.
  • Ensure all personnel are competent and hold the necessary certifications and licenses for their respective roles.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of scaffolding and lifting activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, and equipment maintenance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies, investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and implement site-specific scaffolding and lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statements.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a relevant diploma or degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Holds recognized certifications in scaffolding and lifting operations, such as CISRS or equivalent.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience in scaffolding and lifting supervision within the infrastructure sector.
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of relevant safety regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in risk assessment, method statement development, and safety planning.
  • Exhibits physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Possesses strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to safety.
