Job Title: Scaffolding Superintendent

Location: (Project Site - Saudi Arabia)

Industry: Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical / EPC / Shutdown & Turnaround

Job Summary:

The Scaffolding Superintendent is responsible for planning, supervising, and managing all scaffolding activities at the project site. The role ensures safe erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures in compliance with project specifications and international safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise all scaffolding erection, modification, and dismantling activities
• Ensure all scaffolding works comply with safety regulations and project standards
• Plan and allocate manpower, materials, and equipment for scaffolding activities
• Coordinate with construction, maintenance, and inspection teams
• Review and approve scaffolding designs, drawings, and method statements
• Ensure proper tagging system (Scafftag) and inspection procedures are followed
• Monitor scaffolders and supervisors to ensure productivity and safety compliance
• Conduct site inspections and ensure quality of scaffolding structures
• Organize toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Identify hazards and implement corrective actions
• Maintain records of scaffolding materials, inspections, and usage
• Ensure timely completion of scaffolding work as per project schedule

Requirements:

• Diploma / ITI or equivalent qualification (Technical background preferred)
• Minimum 5 - 15 years of experience in scaffolding works
• Strong experience in Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical projects
• Mandatory GCC / Saudi Arabia experience (contractor side preferred)
• Experience in Shutdown & Turnaround projects
• Certification in scaffolding (e.g., CISRS or equivalent preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of scaffolding standards and safety regulations
• Experience in tube & fitting, system scaffolding, and heavy-duty structures
