Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Scheduling Engineer with proven experience in managing and controlling schedules for outage, shutdown, or turnaround projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Primavera P6, project controls, progress monitoring, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams in high-pressure environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Lead outage/shutdown schedule planning, including resource loading and critical path analysis.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure accurate planning.
  • Track daily progress during outages and prepare look-ahead schedules.
  • Identify schedule risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly schedule reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
  • Perform delay analysis, variance analysis, and schedule recovery plans.
  • Support project controls team with reporting, earned value calculations, and forecasting.
  • Ensure all scheduling activities comply with project requirements and industry standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Scheduling Engineer.
  • Mandatory experience in Outage / Shutdown / Turnaround operations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (Scheduling, Resource Loading, WBS development).
  • Strong knowledge of project controls, planning techniques, and progress measurement.
  • Experience working with EPC contractors, heavy industries, or utilities is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning for power plants, oil & gas, or industrial facilities.
  • Experience with EOT or delay analysis.
  • Ability to work under pressure during outage execution windows.
  • Familiar with site coordination.
