Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Preventive Maintenance Planning & Scheduling

Schedule maintenance work for Cairo Metro Line 3 (Phases 1, 2, 4A, 4B, 3A, 3B, and 3C).

Develop, implement, and maintain an effective maintenance scheduling system.

Prepare the annual Master Preventive Maintenance Plan for in-house teams, RDMC subcontractors, and NAT-warranty subcontractors.

Plan daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly preventive maintenance activities for all 16 subsystems (Air Treatment, Tunnel Ventilation, Escalators & Elevators, Firefighting, Dewatering, Security Devices, Supervisory, Depot Equipment, Rotem, Mitsubishi, AFC, Signaling, Telecom, Centralized Control, Track, and Power Supply).

Produce preventive maintenance job plans, frequencies, and routes in Maximo (MMS) in line with SOPs, operational modes, and related documentation.

Assign resources (crafts, labor, materials, tools, and task sequences) to job plans according to established procedures.

Recommend rescheduling when downtime conflicts occur and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.

Monitor and issue preventive maintenance work orders in Maximo, comparing actual progress against planned values.

Prepare forecasted preventive maintenance plans.

Communicate weekly maintenance activities (Types 1 & 2, not requiring track access) to station masters, zone managers, the Operations Department, and maintenance teams.

Corrective Maintenance Planning & Scheduling

Develop planned corrective maintenance schedules for critical activities based on resource and material availability.

Allocate and distribute corrective maintenance activities across all zones and systems.

Follow up on execution and closure of active corrective maintenance work orders.

Material Planning

Create maintenance schedules for activities pending material availability through Maximo work orders.

Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams to ensure timely supply of materials for corrective maintenance.

Forecast and allocate labor, tools, and spare parts using Maximo s resource planning module.

Project Planning

Plan new maintenance projects, including overhauls, renovations, and installations across all systems.

Create and manage work packages for new projects in Maximo to track progress and milestones.

KPIs & Performance Monitoring

Track preventive and corrective maintenance work orders in Maximo against planned targets.

Report on compliance and performance for preventive and corrective maintenance.

Present weekly KPI dashboards highlighting progress, achievements, and closure rates for PM/CM work orders and service requests.

Safety Responsibilities

Promote a positive safety culture within the workplace and attend any safety-related meetings or briefings as required within the job role.

Comply with the requirements of RDMC RQHSE Policy and Safety Management System.

Be mindful that Safety, Security, and Environmental protection are everyone s responsibility.

All staff members are accountable for reporting and intervening in any Safety, Security, or Environmental violations.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Asset Management, or a related field.

KNOWLEDGE:

Proficient in using CMMS (Maximo).

Solid general technical knowledge.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in KPI development and performance reporting.

Knowledge of asset management principles.

Strong IT skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

EXPERIENCE:

3 5 years of experience in planning and scheduling.

Preferably with experience in a railway maintenance environment.

Exposure to working in a change management culture.
