Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group counselling sessions addressing issues such as stress, anxiety, bullying, peer relationships, and academic concerns.
  • Assess students emotional and social needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student development and resolve conflicts.
  • Provide guidance on academic planning, career choices, and personal development.
  • Facilitate workshops and programs on mental health, life skills, and coping strategies.
  • Refer students to external mental health professionals or social services when needed.
  • Maintain confidential records of counselling sessions and interventions.
  • Promote a positive school climate through advocacy and awareness activities.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to support students with special needs.
  • Stay updated with best practices in school counselling and mental health.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree or Post Graduate degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or Education.
  • Master s degree (Post Graduate) in Counselling, Educational Psychology, or Clinical Psychology is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in counselling or school psychology are an advantage.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings is desirable.
