Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine health screenings, including vision, hearing, and height/weight assessments, to identify students needing further evaluation.
  • Develop and implement individual health care plans (IHCPs) for students with chronic conditions, collaborating with parents and healthcare providers.
  • Educate students and staff on health-related topics, including hygiene, nutrition, and mental health, fostering a culture of wellness.
  • Monitor and manage communicable diseases within the school, coordinating with local health authorities to implement necessary precautions.
  • Maintain accurate health records for all students, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between students, families, and healthcare providers, advocating for necessary medical care and resources.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to students experiencing mental health challenges or trauma.
  • Participate in school-wide safety planning and emergency response drills, ensuring readiness for medical emergencies.
  • Collaborate with educators and administrators to create a safe and healthy school environment, actively promoting overall student well-being.
  • Administer first aid and medication to students in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with state regulations and school policies.

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Candidate within UAE

  • EDUCATION: BSC Nursing with valid active license

  • EXPERIENCE: Over 2 years in the gulf region

  • Maintaining the medical records of students.

  • Preparing the students for medical examination.

  • Recording the height, weight and visual acuity for all students.

  • Supervisions of all medical magazines and health concerns of students.

  • Providing all kinds of immunization according to the schedule and recording it in the student’s medical file.

  • First aid for students.

  • Conducting health education programs within teachers and students.

  • Reporting of infectious disease and isolation of suspected cases.

  • Supervision of school students and reporting the suspected illness cases to the doctor.

  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is an asset for effective communication with diverse families.

  • Experience working in educational settings preferred, enhancing understanding of the unique school environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering trust and rapport with students, parents, and staff.

  • Strong technical skills in health assessment and emergency response, ensuring readiness for various health situations.
