Key Responsibilities

MENG:

Design and teach courses in Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics, and Mechanical Design at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Build strong, independent research in areas like robotics.

Mentor students, guide research projects, and support their professional development.

Secure external research funding and publish impactful work in leading journals and conferences.

Collaborate with industry partners to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world solutions.

Participate in curriculum development and program enhancement to ensure our program remains at the cutting edge.

SESC:

Provides strategic leadership and sets the vision, mission, and research priorities of the center.

Leads interdisciplinary research programs integrating AI, robotics, data analytics, and smart materials.

Fosters collaboration with industry, government, and academic partners to enhance innovation and impact.

Secures external funding and supports the translation of research into practical applications.

Oversees recruitment, mentoring, and development of researchers, faculty, and graduate students.

Promotes a culture of research excellence, creativity, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Manages financial, administrative, and operational aspects of the center efficiently.

Represents the center in academic, industrial, and international forums.

Drives innovation, technology transfer, and commercialization of research outcomes.

Ensures the center’s activities align with national priorities and contribute to sustainable development.

Required Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Mechatronics Engineering or closely related discipline.

An academic rank of at least Associate or Full Professor.

A strong publication record in reputable venues.

A demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and student mentorship.

Experience in securing research grants and managing funded projects.

Active involvement in professional and academic communities.
