School Social Worker Oasis International School

The School Social Worker supports the emotional, social, and academic development of students by identifying and addressing issues that affect their well-being and performance in school. This role involves working closely with students, parents, teachers, and external agencies to promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to students facing academic, social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
Identify at-risk students and develop intervention strategies in collaboration with teachers and administrators.
Conduct assessments and create support plans tailored to individual student needs.
Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community organizations.
Address issues such as bullying, truancy, family crises, substance abuse, and child protection.
Support students with learning differences, disabilities, or those facing socio-economic challenges.
Participate in multidisciplinary teams to support inclusive education and student welfare.

Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
Relevant experience in school settings or child welfare is an advantage.
Licensing or certification may be required, depending on local regulations.
