Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Selected candidates will be required to perform, but not limited to, the following duties:


  1. Rope handling, knotting, and splicing

  2. Mooring and unmooring operations

  3. Chipping, painting, and basic carpentry

  4. Firefighting and emergency response

  5. Oil spill response and pollution control

  6. Cleaning and maintenance of buoys and navigational aids

  7. General marine and port-related operational duties

  8. Candidates with marine mechanical experience will have an added advantage.

Desired Candidate Profile

Candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:

  1. At least 2 years of relevant seaman experience

  2. Valid Seaman Book

  3. Swimming proficiency

  4. CDC Seaman Stamp (minimum 2 years) or equivalent experience certificate

  5. Valid STCW certification

  6. Relevant experience certificates


Additionally:

  1. Candidates must successfully complete a swimming test in their home country

  2. Trade test certification must be submitted prior to final selection
