Secondary Chemistry Teacher (AS/A Level)

A Secondary Chemistry Teacher is required to teach AS and A-Level Chemistry within a UK curriculum school environment. The teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high quality lessons while supporting the school s academic and pastoral objectives. The role reports to the Vice Principal.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Learning

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons aligned with the UK curriculum (AS/A Level).
• Use effective teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles and academic abilities.
• Ensure continuous assessment of students, including homework, class activities, and formal examinations.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Curriculum & Classroom Management

• Develop and update schemes of work based on curriculum requirements.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student development.
• Maintain discipline in alignment with school policies and pastoral expectations.

Professional Responsibilities

• Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and curriculum development.
• Collaborate with academic leadership to meet school targets and standards.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and progress.
• Support school events, activities, and extra curricular initiatives as required.
