Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The secondary school is looking for a positive, driven, and inspirational Head of Humanities to join a large successful and vibrant Humanities department. Geography and History are taught from Grades 6 to 8 to all students, Head of Humanities will lead the Humanities department in alignment with the UAE, IBO and BSO Inspection Frameworks.
Essential:
- Bachelor s degree in Humanities or a related subject.
- Post Graduate Certificate in Education (or equivalent)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have an excellent understanding of teaching and learning
- Be highly proficient in the use of technology to support teaching and learning
- Engage, motivate and support students
- Be a reflective practitioner with the ability to think creatively and innovate
- Be a positive and enthusiastic member of staff and have a growth mindset
- Be willing to be fully involved in extra-curricular activities
- Have excellent communications skills
- Experience of teaching GCSE/IGCSE/A-Level courses (Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply)
