Roles & Responsibilities
The secondary school is looking for a positive, driven, and inspirational mathematics teacher to join a very successful and vibrant department.
Mathematics is a Core subject and is taught from Grades 6 to 12. In Grades 9 and 10 Mathematics IGCSE is taught to all students. Further Mathematics is an additional IGCSE subject option. In Grades 11 and 12 Mathematics A-Level is offered as a subject option. Mathematics is also a compulsory Group 5 subject as part of the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme.
Essential:
- Bachelor s degree in mathematics or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have an excellent understanding of teaching and learning
- Be highly proficient in the use of technology to support teaching and learning
- Engage, motivate and support students
- Be a reflective practitioner with the ability to think creatively and innovate
- Be a positive and enthusiastic member of staff and have a growth mindset
- Be willing to be fully involved in extra-curricular activities
- Have excellent communications skills
- Experience of teaching GCSE/IGCSE/A-Level courses (Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply)
