Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Great attitude towards work someone who is accountable on top of being responsible.

  • Clear understanding of API integration principles, with security context. Someone who not only finds problems, but also helps solve them

  • Relevant experience in Kong API GW, Azure API GW, AWS API GW will be great with preference for Kong.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work within a high impact integration area, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable API connectivity across systems.

  • Analyze, design, and support API integrations with a strong focus on security, authentication, authorization, and traffic control.

  • Identify integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and actively contribute to solution design rather than only reporting problems.

  • Implement and manage API policies, rate limiting, routing, and security configurations across API gateways.

  • Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless API operations and compliance with security standards.

  • Maintain documentation, integration patterns, and best practices for API lifecycle management.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Strong understanding of API integration principles, REST standards, and API security concepts (OAuth, JWT, mTLS, etc.).

  • Hands on experience with at least one major API Gateway platform:

  • Kong API Gateway (preferred)

  • Azure API Management

  • AWS API Gateway

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex API issues and contribute to designing long term solutions.

  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and a proactive approach to problem solving.

  • Ability to work in fast paced, mission critical environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with API observability, logging, and monitoring tools.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices related to API deployment.

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
