Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Overseeing daily security operations across all school buildings and grounds, including traffic management and access control
Managing and supervising contracted security personnel to ensure all security posts are effectively staffed and operating
Monitoring CCTV, alarm systems, perimeter security and access control systems
Leading emergency preparedness activities including fire drills, lockdown drills, evacuations and crisis response procedures
Developing and enforcing security policies, SOPs and risk management procedures
Maintaining accurate incident reports, visitor logs and security documentation
Managing visitor access, contractor entry and vehicle movement across campus
Working closely with the HSE and Operations teams to support risk assessments and safety compliance
Delivering safety awareness training and emergency response guidance to staff and students
Liaising with local authorities including police, civil defence and emergency services where required
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum 5 years experience in Security Management or a related field
Experience overseeing security operations in complex environments such as schools, campuses, hospitality or large facilities
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent situational awareness and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
Experience developing and implementing security procedures and risk mitigation strategies
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
High levels of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make effective decisions
Experience with incident reporting, risk assessment and safety compliance frameworks
Candidates with qualifications or certifications in first aid, fire safety, emergency response, or incident investigation will be highly advantageous.
