Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

  • Conduct site reviews, assess findings and make recommendations to line management.
  • Monitor and evaluate unit performance on key security issues and programmes; recommend corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Plan, develop and implement security plans and programmes such as Emergency Response and Crisis Management, Physical Security, Incident Management and Investigations.
  • Perform an annual risk analysis for the country, particularly in relation to crime, terrorism and civil unrest.
  • Provide leadership, advice and guidance to line management on security policies and practices. Identify exposures and recommend corrective plans as appropriate.
  • Advise management on the allocation of resources for the protection of company assets where compromise or loss could significantly impact business operations.
  • Lead and support all security staff in achieving current and long-term strategic programme objectives.
  • Serve as a support resource to security management and assist in investigations of significant threats or incidents involving loss or misappropriation of assets.
  • Oversee the analysis and investigation of all incidents, providing advice and closure to responsible functional and security management.
  • Undertake other responsibilities as assigned.

Desired Candidate Profile

Higher education (university degree or higher) in a relevant speciality.

  • Extensive work experience in security-related roles, including security management or advisory experience within the corporate sector.
  • Knowledge of regulatory acts, provisions, instructions and other documents governing security activities.
  • Understanding of civil, labour, financial, administrative and criminal law.
  • Familiarity with international security standards used by operating companies.
  • Awareness of international security legislation.
  • Understanding of the organisational structure of a company.
  • General knowledge of labour management practices.
  • Knowledge of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) rules and regulations.
  • Experience with the registration and preparation of legal documentation using modern information technologies.
  • Proficiency in security systems, including access control, CCTV and ID systems.
  • Strong communication skills in English, including business-style English. Ability to prepare and deliver high-level reports, both written and verbal.
  • Completion of international security courses, with sports training and proficiency in special self-defence techniques.
  • Highly motivated, with the ability to plan and organise work and related activities to meet targets. Strong sense of responsibility.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A team player with a proactive work style.
  • Meticulous, eager to learn, and focused on achieving results.
