Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
To provide operational leadership of all security functions within SSMC, including the supervision of Security Control and Security Operations, oversight of both in-house and contracted security personnel, management of the security services contract, and development of security policies, protocols and SOPs. The role ensures a secure and compliant environment for patients, staff, visitors, and assets, while supporting protocol management for high-level visits in coordination with the CEO s office.

Provide leadership to in-house and contracted security teams.
Oversee Security Control Center and on-ground Security Operations.
Manage the performance and compliance of the outsourced security service provider.
Develop and maintain security-related SOPs in line with hospital emergency policies.
Ensure regulatory compliance and conduct security risk assessments.
Coordinate VIP and delegate visits with appropriate protocol in collaboration with the CEO s office.
Liaise with government and protocol departments to ensure proper handling of high-profile visitors.
Lead investigations of security incidents and recommend corrective action.
Prepare and submit operational security reports to leadership.
Accountabilities
Staff Supervision: Accountable for ensuring that all security staff (in-house and outsourced) are adequately trained, scheduled, and performing per standards.
Contract Compliance: Accountable for ensuring all aspects of the security services contract are met and managing vendor performance, invoices and cost management in line with budget. Risk Mitigation: Accountable for identifying and mitigating security risks through proactive planning and procedures.
Protocol Execution: Accountable for the seamless execution of protocol arrangements for VIPs, delegates, and official events.
Operational Efficiency: Accountable for ensuring the security function operates effectively within allocated budgets and resource limits.
Role-Specific Job Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate Security Control Center activities including surveillance, alarms, and communication systems.
Monitor and improve on-site security operations, including patrols, access control, and incident response.
Develop and implement SOPs for security functions, ensuring alignment with emergency management procedures.
Represent the Security Department in internal and external meetings, emergency preparedness drills, and planning sessions.
Ensure proper security presence and protocol compliance during official visits, events, and dignitary engagements.
Collaborate with Facilities, Emergency Management, HR, and other departments to ensure holistic safety and security planning. Evaluate and propose improvements to security technologies, systems, and tools (e.g., CCTV, access control, panic alarms).
Maintain up-to-date training records, security licenses, and certification requirements for all personnel.
Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information and high-profile individuals
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in security management, Criminal Justice, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Desired:
br>Professional certifications such as Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) are preferred.
Specialist Certifications:
Desired:
br>ASIS certification such as CPP, PSP, PSI
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in security management, preferably within a healthcare environment. /p>
Proven experience in managing both in-house and contracted security personnel. Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and healthcare regulations.
Proficient in the use of security systems and technologies (e.g., CCTV, access control systems).
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills both Arabic and English.
