Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Financial accounting and bookkeeping:

  • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with accounting principles.

  • Record daily financial transactions, including revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities.

  • Reconcile all accounts monthly, including bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

·       Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepayments and depreciation

 

2. Financial reporting:

·       Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statement ensuring IFRS compliance.

·       Prepare month-end and year-end closing processes

·       Assist with ensuring financial reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with internal policies and external regulatory requirements


3. Budgeting, Forecasting and Variance Analysis:

  • Assist with preparation of annual budget.

  • Prepare variance analyses report (actual vs budget).

4. Audit, Tax and regulatory Compliance:

  • Assist in internal, statutory and tax audits

  • Assist in compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax, and other financial regulation.

  • Timely filing of VAT and regulatory reports in accordance with UAE regulations.

6. Accounts Receivable & Payable Management:

  • Oversee billing and collections of business operation

·       Manage customers’ accounts, including posting payments, adjusting accounts, and reconciling any discrepancies

  • Process and record vendor invoices, matching them with purchase orders and ensuring accuracy.

  • Manage the payment cycle, including processing payments and ensuring timely payment of all invoices.

  • Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger with the general ledger and verify any discrepancies.

7. Fixed Asset & Inventory Accounting:

  • Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, and disposal entries.

  • Conduct regular physical verification of assets and reconcile with the fixed asset register as per organization policy.

·       Prepare monthly depreciation entries and report on asset status

  • Oversee inventory accounting, including valuation and consumption of consumable items

Reconcile physical inventory counts with book balance and verify any variances

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Submission of monthly BVR statement by 1st of every month

  • Closing of monthly books and submission of financial statement of company by 15th of every month.

  • Completion of Annual audit by 28th of February with Zero critical audit finding

  • 100% Compliance VAT and other regulatory filling within timeline with no penalty
