Roles & Responsibilities
Job Title: Senior Accountant (Egypt & Libya Operations)
Company: ESS AE Holding & Associated Establishments
Location: Egypt / Libya
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
ESS AE Holding is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations for its associated establishments in Egypt and Libya. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multi-entity accounting, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and delivering accurate financial reporting to group management.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage end-to-end accounting operations for Egypt and Libya entities
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure compliance with local tax laws, VAT regulations, and statutory requirements in Egypt and Libya
Maintain and monitor general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
Handle group consolidation reporting and intercompany transactions
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow planning
Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits
Ensure adherence to IFRS standards and company financial policies
Provide financial insights and reports to senior management for decision-making
Maintain proper documentation for audit, compliance, and ISO standards
Liaise with banks, tax authorities, and government bodies
Supervise and mentor accounting staff across locations
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements:
Nationality:
Egypt Role: Any nationality willing to relocate to Egypt
Libya Role: Any nationality willing to relocate to Libya
Experience:
Minimum 15+ years of progressive accounting experience
Proven experience in multi-country or group company structure
Experience handling Middle East / North Africa (MENA) region accounting preferred
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (Mandatory)
Master’s Degree in Finance/Accounting (Preferred)
Professional Certifications (Highly Preferred):
CA (Chartered Accountant)
ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
CMA or equivalent finance certification is an advantage
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of IFRS and international accounting standards
In-depth understanding of tax regulations in Egypt and Libya
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar)
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and financial modeling
Language Requirements:
Fluent in Arabic and English (Mandatory)
