Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Oversee accounting for shipping operations, including freight revenue, voyage costs, demurrage, and port charges.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and maritime financial requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable related to shipping operations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for management decision-making.
- Improve internal controls and accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
