Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and approve supplier invoices from carriers, port authorities, and transporters.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations for cost control and profitability improvement.
• Prepare and review the monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensure timely invoicing, collections, and reconciliation.
• Supervise bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and daily treasury functions.
• Assist in internal and external audit preparations and tax compliance filings.
• Implement and maintain effective accounting systems, procedures, and controls.
• Partner with operations and sourcing teams to analyze inventory, variances, production costs, and capital expenditures.
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Ensure correct revenue booking based on service completion and industry standards.
• Manage VAT filings, customs duties, and local labor-related taxes.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/CMA is a plus
• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a logistics company
• Deep understanding of logistics terminology and import/export documentation.
• High attention to detail and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Expert skills in Microsoft Excel for managing large datasets from multiple shipping sources.
• Experience supervising junior staff and coordinating cross-functionally with sales and operations teams.
