Job Role: The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing day to day accounting operations, month-end closing activities, financial reporting compliance with IFRS, Taxation & compliance and payroll management. Key Accountabilities: Delivering accurate, timely, IFRS compliant financial reporting and analysis—covering monthly statements, working capital metrics, and insightful variance commentary to support management decision making Focuses on overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate cash and bank controls, delivering required daily reports, and maintaining strict compliance with internal financial policies Ensuring accurate general ledger management and a smooth month end close, including posting key entries, completing reconciliations, closing SAP modules on time, and overseeing van stock reconciliation Managing tax compliance (VAT and corporate tax) while ensuring all business licenses, agreements, and contracts remain current and fully compliant. The responsibilities center on managing end to end payroll processing with full compliance, accurate validations, and proper posting of payroll entries to the general ledger. Managing customer payment reconciliation, ensuring timely credit note and deduction processing, following up on collections in line with credit policies, and monitoring trade spend for monthly reporting to the Head Office Focuses on overseeing office administration while supporting audits, IT related finance projects, team development, and various management assigned tasks
