Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting operations for 11 branches across Saudi Arabia, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Perform inter-branch and inter-company reconciliations accurately and on time.
- Handle cash and bank reconciliations, including POS transactions and credit card settlements.
- Prepare and post monthly closing entries, such as asset schedules, provisions, accruals, and prepayments.
- Maintain inventory and stock accounting for gold, diamonds, and other precious materials, ensuring accurate valuation and movement tracking.
- Monitor and reconcile customer advances, supplier accounts, and making charges related to gold jewellery transactions.
- Support the UAE headquarters in financial statement consolidation and group reporting.
- Ensure timely VAT/Zakat filing and compliance with Saudi tax regulations.
- Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary schedules and documentation.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience in the Jewellery industry (Preferred)
- Proven experience in financial supervision, accounting operations, and consolidated reporting.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and group accounting policies.
- Expertise in cost allocation, reconciliation, and intercompany transactions.
- Experience in establishing internal control procedures and safeguarding company assets.
- Proficiency in preparing tax returns and liaising with auditors.
Desired Candidate Profile
- The candidate should have work experience in KSA or be willing to relocate.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management in the Jewellery industry
- Extensive experience in cost allocation, reconciliation, IFRS compliance, and consolidated financial reporting.
- Prior experience supervising accounting teams and handling intercompany transactions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems is a plus.
