Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Closing: Lead month-end and year-end closing processes; prepare and analyze financial statements to provide executive summaries.

  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.

  • Operational Oversight: Ensure accurate processing of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to optimize cash flow.

  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust controls to safeguard assets and prevent discrepancies.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop annual budgets, manage forecasting, and perform variance analysis against targets.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations and Merchandising teams to provide financial guidance for business decisions.

  • Compliance & Audit: Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors; stay updated on evolving accounting standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (Master’s or CPA preferred).

    Experience 8+ years of progressive accounting experience; minimum 3 years in Retail.

    Technical Skills Inventory management, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.

    Soft Skills Strong leadership, analytical problem-solving, and professional communication.

    Traits Results-oriented, proactive, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
