Roles & Responsibilities

Aumet is hiring a Senior Accounting Specialist to lead the general ledger, monthly closing, financial reporting, payroll accounting, and annual audit coordination across our multi-country operations. This role will serve as a key part of our finance leadership structure,

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Ledger & Financial Control

  • Lead the monthly and year-end closing processes, including all journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and final adjustments.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and oversee ledger accuracy.
  • Supervise and review all GL-related postings from the team.
  • Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.

2. Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Deliver variance analysis and performance insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the Accounting Manager to deliver timely reports to executives and investors.
  • Maintain the financial data room and ensure investor reporting accuracy.

3. Payroll & Tax Compliance

  • Handle payroll calculation and related entries, leave accruals, and final settlements with confidentiality.
  • Calculate and post tax accruals including VAT, WHT, and corporate income tax.
  • Ensure alignment with HR inputs and regulatory compliance.

4. Audit & Internal Controls

  • Lead coordination with external auditors for quarterly and year-end audits.
  • Prepare schedules, reconciliations, confirmations, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure proper implementation of internal controls and approval workflows.

5. Strategic & Cross-Functional Support

  • Support cost allocation across Aumet's global entities.
  • Coordinate financial dependencies with HR, Sales, and other departments to meet closing deadlines.
  • Continuously seek improvements in reporting, compliance, and process automation.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (mandatory).
  • CMA or CPA certification is a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with solid exposure to GL, reporting, and audit.
  • Experience in multi-entity, SaaS, or tech-driven environments is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with SAP Business One (SAP B1) is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with MenaME for payroll operations is an added value.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
