Roles & Responsibilities

IOM s official languages are English, French, and Spanish.

REQUIRED

For this position, fluency in English and Arabic is required (oral and written).

DESIRABLE

Knowledge of French would be an advantage

  1. Brand Compliance and Quality Control
    • Support the application of IOM branding guidelines and visual identity standards in audiovisual and graphic outputs.
    • Contribute to maintaining consistency in tone, style, and overall quality across all multimedia products.
  2. Content Creation and Production
    • Capture photographs and video footage for campaigns, events, and field activities, working with the RO staff and Mission communications focal points.
    • Edit videos for social media, web, and broadcast use, including adding subtitles, motion graphics, and branding elements.
    • Support the preparation and layout of infographics, social media cards, and other visual assets for digital and print channels.
  3. Technical Expertise and Innovation
    • Operate photography and videography equipment to support the production of audiovisual materials for the Regional Office.
    • Use industry-standard software for photo editing, video production, and graphic design (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) to prepare multimedia content requested by the communications team and missions.
    • Stay updated on emerging trends in digital storytelling and multimedia production to support the team with updated techniques and practical recommendations.
  4. Collaboration and Support
    • Work closely with the communications team to contribute creative ideas and support the timely delivery of multimedia content.
    • Provide technical support and training to staff on audiovisual best practices when required.
  5. Other Duties
    • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the communications activities of the Regional Office.

Desired Candidate Profile

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor s degree in Communications, Multimedia Design, Graphic Arts, or related field from an accredited academic institution, with five years of relevant professional experience; or
  • High school diploma with seven years of relevant professional experience.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in photography, videography, and video editing for institutional or corporate communications.
  • Demonstrated experience in producing infographics and other graphic design outputs.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and optimization of multimedia content for digital channels.
  • UN/NGO experience and knowledge in the field of migration would be an asset.

SKILLS

  • Strong creative and technical skills in multimedia production.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics and animation is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.
