Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of backend systems and APIs.
• Define, implement, and uphold backend engineering best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
• Mentor and support backend engineers, fostering technical growth and excellence.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and data/ML teams to translate requirements into scalable backend solutions.
• Ensure system performance, reliability, and security at scale.
• Drive improvements in CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Participate in roadmap planning, architectural reviews, and system design discussions.
• Research, evaluate, and integrate emerging technologies to enhance backend efficiency and innovation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript for backend development.
• Experience designing REST and/or GraphQL APIs and working with microservices architectures.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, including data modeling principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, as well as containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven track record of building secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile/Scrum workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
