Senior Bids & Proposals Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Bids & Proposals Engineer with a strong background in the Oil & Gas sector to lead end-to-end proposal development and tendering activities. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in securing projects by preparing competitive, compliant, and high-quality technical and commercial proposals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Proposal Strategy & Development

• Lead the preparation of technical and commercial proposals aligned with client requirements and company strategy

• Analyze RFQs, tenders, and ITTs to develop winning bid strategies

• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, and operations teams to define scope, timelines, and costing

• Conduct market and competitor analysis to enhance proposal competitiveness

2. Bid Management & Coordination

• Manage the complete bid lifecycle from inquiry to submission

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors for timely inputs

• Track deadlines, ensure submission compliance, and maintain proposal schedules

3. Costing & Commercial Evaluation

• Develop accurate cost estimates, pricing models, and financial proposals

• Work closely with finance to ensure profitability and cost competitiveness

• Evaluate commercial risks and ensure alignment with company margins

  4. Client Interaction & Negotiation

  • Act as the primary point of contact during the bidding stage

  • Address client queries, clarifications, and technical discussions

  • Lead negotiations and follow-ups to secure orders

  5. Risk & Compliance Management

  • Identify and mitigate technical, commercial, and contractual risks

  • Ensure proposals comply with client specifications, industry standards, and company policies

  6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain comprehensive records of all proposals and related documentation

  • Provide regular updates on bid status, success rates, and pipeline to management

  7. Project Handover & Internal Coordination

  • Support smooth transition from proposal to execution

  • Participate in internal kick-off meetings and assist in budget setup

  • Coordinate across departments during initial project stages
