Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and coordinate mechanical shop drawings using BIM tools.
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage mechanical BIM models for various projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems within the overall BIM environment.
  • Prepare detailed shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical documentation for mechanical systems using BIM software.
  • Review and validate mechanical designs to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations.
  • Identify and resolve clashes and conflicts in the BIM model through coordination meetings and clash detection tools.
  • Support the technical office in preparing material take-offs, quantity surveys, and cost estimates based on BIM models.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of technical submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of model revisions, updates, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to site teams during the construction phase, ensuring adherence to the BIM model and design intent.
  • Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance project delivery and efficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on BIM and technical office roles.
  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems design, installation, and coordination within large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience in preparing shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical documentation for mechanical works.
  • Familiarity with clash detection, coordination processes, and BIM standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
