Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and manage comprehensive project budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project requirements.
- Prepare detailed project schedules, monitor progress, and update plans to reflect changes and mitigate risks.
- Analyze project costs, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to maintain budgetary control.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather accurate data for budgeting and planning purposes.
- Prepare regular financial and progress reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics and potential issues.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making on project investments.
- Monitor and forecast cash flow requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, contractual obligations, and industry standards in all budgeting and planning activities.
- Support tendering and procurement processes by providing accurate cost estimates and budget breakdowns.
- Continuously improve budgeting and planning processes by implementing best practices and leveraging new technologies.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum of 7 years of experience in budgeting, planning, or project controls within the engineering or construction industry.
- Proven track record in managing project budgets and schedules for large-scale developments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in project management and budgeting software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, Excel).
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
