Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize the procurement process and achieve cost savings.
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, timely delivery, and adherence to service level agreements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, finance, and operations, to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
- Monitor industry trends and market conditions to forecast pricing changes and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
- Utilize advanced procurement software to track orders, manage inventory levels, and streamline purchase requisitions.
- Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and initiate corrective actions when necessary to maintain high standards.
- Prepare detailed reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance for senior management review.
- Participate in contract negotiations and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Train and mentor junior buyers to enhance their skills and improve the overall procurement team's effectiveness.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is essential.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in procurement or purchasing roles is required.
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or CIPS will be highly regarded.
- Experience in the specific industry, such as manufacturing, retail, or technology, is preferred.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, alongside strong Excel skills, is a must.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; additional language skills are a plus for international sourcing.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful contract management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
