Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The position requires a Senior / Principal Water Engineer to provide technical leadership and design management for complex water transmission, distribution, sewerage, and pumping system and stormwater projects across the Middle East and international markets.

  • Technical leadership, review, and coordination of water transmission/distribution pipelines, pumping stations, storage reservoirs, and water distribution systems, including large‑diameter pipelines.

  • Hydraulic analysis and modelling of water and wastewater systems, including steady‑state and transient (surge) analysis.

  • Design development, review, and optimisation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects at feasibility, concept, detailed design, and tender stages.

  • Preparation and review of technical reports, feasibility studies, tender dossiers, specifications, BoQs, and cost estimates.

  • Design management and coordination of multidisciplinary engineering teams and sub‑consultants.

  • Technical interface with clients, authorities and contractors, including participation in meetings, workshops, and design reviews.

  • Support during procurement and construction, including technical clarifications, value engineering, and design review of contractor submissions.

  • Contribution to technical proposals, methodologies, staffing schedules, and project planning activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • More than 15 years of professional experience in water transmission, water distribution, sewerage networks, and pumping systems.

  • Extensive experience in principal and senior engineering roles, including design management and project coordination.

  • Proven track record in large‑scale water transmission projects, including pipelines up to DN1200, pumping stations, elevated and ground storage tanks, and associated civil, mechanical, and hydraulic works.

  • Strong experience in hydraulic modelling and surge analysis for water and wastewater systems.

  • Experience in UAE; international experience is a plus.

  • Advanced knowledge of water transmission and distribution systems, sewerage networks, pumping stations, and storage facilities.

  • Expert user of industry software including InfoWorks WS, WaterGEMS, Bentley HAMMER, EPANET, SewerCAD, EPA SWMM, and Pipe2006 Surge.

  • Strong capabilities in hydraulic modelling, water balance analysis, demand assessment, and transient analysis.

  • Experience in preparation of technical reports and  feasibility studies.
