Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive analysis of current-state clinical workflows and design optimized future-state workflows within the EMR.
  • Facilitate detailed design sessions with clinicians to gather requirements, identify pain points, and define new processes.
  • Ensure workflows meet regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Provide expert clinical guidance to EMR Application Specialists during system build and configuration.
  • Review and validate clinical content within the EMR (e.g., order sets, documentation templates, decision support rules) for accuracy, clinical relevance, and usability.
  • Actively participate in and lead clinical testing cycles (unit, integrated, user acceptance testing), ensuring the EMR functions as intended for clinical users
  • Serve as a visible clinical champion for the EMR, articulating its value and benefits to clinical staff.
  • Lead clinical go-live readiness activities, including identifying and mentoring clinical super-users.
  • Provide intensive, hands-on clinical support during the EMR go-live, assisting users at the bedside/point of care and troubleshooting clinical workflow issues.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Clinical degree required (MD, MBBS, RN, BSN, Pharmacist). Advanced degrees in Nursing, Medicine, or Healthcare Informatics preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of recent, hands-on clinical experience in an acute care setting.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience that combines significant contributions to an EMR implementation project (design, build, testing, go-live) and ongoing EMR optimization/support.
  • Strong background in clinical workflow analysis and process improvement.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to influence, motivate, and collaborate effectively with diverse clinical and technical teams.
