Senior CNC Machine Operator EDGE Group PJSC

Key Responsibilities

• Senior CNC machine operators ensure management of all CNC equipment from setup to operation, producing parts and tools from different resources including metal and plastic.
• Ensuring the monitoring of machinery, inspecting finished products, and leading test runs are carried out.
• Responsible for ensuring produces quality parts and tools specific to engineering drawings and client standards.

• Ensure the CNC machines are Set-up and managed to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding and milling.
• Ensure the Translation of engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production are processed and communicated to the CNC team.
• Oversee all the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
• Ensure all raw materials and equipment are loaded and unloaded.
• Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs, keeping detailed records for equipment and procedures.
• Ensure all machine maintenance and cleaning of equipment is carried out daily.
• Approve and inspect finished product to ensure that results of machining process align with client expectations.
• Ensure compliance with Standard quality and safety guidelines.
• Report logistical issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
• Conduct regular CNC machine assessments.

Qualifications and Skills

• Trade School Accreditation/High School diploma or equivalent qualification
• Certificate or diploma in Engineering is an advantage
• Abide by company safety guidelines.
• Work productively and efficiently.
• Team Management and effective communication within team and management.
• Understanding of GD&T and Reading of Engineering drawing
• CNC Surface or Cylindrical grinder.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a CNC Milling or turning machine operator or CNC Machinist in Machining / Aerospace manufacturing Industry.
• Proven experience translating mechanical documents and engineering drawings.
• Must have experience in operating the CNC lathe (at least 4axis) machine, manual programming and Cam programming is an advantage.
• Must have prior experience in operating the CNC Milling (5Axis) machine, manual programming and CAM programming is an advantage
