Main responsibilities:

• Support rig crew and HSE engineers in planning operations in line with oilfield best practices, with a strong focus on safety procedures (PTW, JSA/JRA, TBT).
• Assist in hazard identification and the deployment of appropriate mitigation actions.
• Supervise rig crew during job execution (routine and non-routine), improving personnel safety awareness and applying and empowering Stop Work Authority at all levels.
• Perform post-job reviews with rig crew to highlight areas for improvement.
• Apply Stop Work Authority immediately if there is any doubt regarding the safety of personnel and/or equipment.
• Investigate and report unscheduled events, identifying root causes and ensuring corrective and remedial actions are implemented.
• Follow the company's safety management system procedures and instructions, supporting full field implementation and highlighting areas for improvement.
• Oversee the performance of drilling crew components by checking work progress and providing guidance to ensure planned activities are achieved.
• Assist in the training of the drilling crew by ensuring that personnel development plans are implemented.
• Support the development of the drilling crew by performing evaluations of crew members and providing daily feedback.
• Assist in the direct application of preventive and planned maintenance programmes for rig equipment (CAT III, CAT IV and OEM requirements), with particular focus on drilling and lifting gear.
• Periodically inspect and monitor asset status and working conditions, establishing and maintaining up-to-date status records.
• Manage and control warehouse stock and stock levels, with particular focus on critical spare parts and personal protective equipment.
• Be personally engaged in Health, Safety and Environment matters and comply with Egyptian legislation, rig contractor and Petrobel procedures, and international best practices.
