Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the collections process for assigned accounts, ensuring timely receipt of payments.

  • Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up with clients to resolve outstanding balances.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements with customers while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, finance, and legal to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on collection status, delinquency trends, and recovery rates to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards in all collection activities.
  • Identify high-risk accounts and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate financial exposure.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve collection efficiency and reduce bad debt.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities and communications.
  • Train and mentor junior collections staff, providing guidance on best practices and company procedures.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 4-6 years of proven experience in collections, accounts receivable, or credit control, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of collections processes, credit management, and relevant legal regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and financial management software.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Experience working in an office-based, full-time, onsite environment.
