Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the collections process for assigned accounts, ensuring timely receipt of payments.
- Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up with clients to resolve outstanding balances.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements with customers while maintaining positive relationships.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, finance, and legal to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
- Prepare and present regular reports on collection status, delinquency trends, and recovery rates to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards in all collection activities.
- Identify high-risk accounts and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate financial exposure.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve collection efficiency and reduce bad debt.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities and communications.
- Train and mentor junior collections staff, providing guidance on best practices and company procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of proven experience in collections, accounts receivable, or credit control, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of collections processes, credit management, and relevant legal regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and financial management software.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience working in an office-based, full-time, onsite environment.
