Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Develop and oversee the implementation of the organization's communications strategy and plan.

2. Manage the creation and distribution of all external communications, including press releases, website content, social media, publications, speeches, etc.

3. Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and manage all media relations activities.

4. Oversee the organization's public relations efforts, including event planning, sponsorships, and community engagement.

5. Collaborate with leadership to craft and disseminate key messages, positioning, and brand identity.

6. Manage the communications team, including writers, designers, and other creative professionals.

7. Monitor and analyse the performance of communications initiatives, adjusting as needed.

8. Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in communications and marketing.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in mass communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in a communications, public relations, or marketing role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications strategies.
  • Excellent command written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in using relevant communications tools and technologies.
  • Knowledge of current social media platforms and digital marketing trends.
