Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Project Communications and Visibility
- Develop and maintain communications plan and visual identity, ensuring consistency and compliance with donor visibility requirements.
- Produce high-quality project-branded materials including reports, factsheets, presentations, and success stories.
- Design leaflets, posters, and other visibility assets that maintain strong and coherent branding.
- Support project reporting by providing communications content related to milestones, outreach activities, and impact.
Strategic Communications and Community Engagement
- Lead communication strategies for the AI-powered chatbot, developing promotional campaigns to increase visibility, uptake, and engagement across targeted communities.
- Co-create campaign messaging and visual assets with youth groups, community partners, and stakeholders through workshops and message-testing sessions.
- Craft compelling narratives and campaign messaging for outreach, awareness events, and digital content grounded in evidence-based harm reduction principles.
- Support PSD in strengthening communications, including message testing, campaign design, and audience segmentation.
- Coordinate with media outlets and digital influencers to expand outreach where appropriate.
- Monitor campaign performance and feedback, adjusting communications strategies to improve impact and chatbot adoption.
- Identify and coordinate external expertise for capacity building (e.g., video production, media training).
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- 7+ years of experience in strategic communications, marketing, advertising, or public information campaigns.
- Proven ability to design communication strategies and produce high-quality visual and written content.
- Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders to deliver communications campaigns.
- Strong experience managing social media platforms for outreach and engagement.
- Video production and editing skills (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
- Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
- Ability to work neutrally and effectively in politically sensitive environments.
- Willingness to be based in Amman with occasional travel across Jordan.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience delivering communications capacity-building.
- Proficiency in design and layout software (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva).
- Familiarity with technology-enabled interventions, chatbots, or AI-powered communication tools.

Siren Associates is seeking a Senior Communications Officer to lead the design and delivery of high-impact communications for a four-year initiative aimed at strengthening drug prevention and harm reduction efforts in Jordan. Based in Amman and reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Senior Communications Officer will develop and implement creative, evidence-based communication strategies that engage diverse audiences, promote the uptake of project tools including the AI-powered chatbot and support institutional and local partners in delivering effective outreach campaigns. This position is subject to funding availability. Recruitment, onboarding, and contract issuance will proceed once final donor approvals and funding confirmations are secured.
