Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Compliance Specialist to lead and manage the compliance function across our drilling operations in Khobar. This role is responsible for ensuring full adherence to local and international regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in compliance strategy, investigations, data privacy, and trade regulations, with a strong leadership background.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's compliance policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the compliance team and oversee all compliance-related activities across departments.
  • Design and manage the company's compliance universe, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all risk areas.

Monitoring, Reporting & Risk Management

  • Conduct regular compliance monitoring and reporting to senior management.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of control systems and recommend improvements.
  • Perform periodic reviews of company procedures and processes to identify hidden risks or recurring issues.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies related to compliance risks.

Internal Investigations & Whistleblowing

  • Lead internal investigations into potential violations, including whistleblower reports.
  • Define investigation processes, document outcomes, and ensure appropriate resolution and disciplinary actions.
  • Manage the Helpline and oversee investigations into potential fraud, abuse, or misconduct.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Saudi laws, Saudi Aramco standards, and international regulations.
  • Manage trade compliance, including adherence to U.S. sanctions and export control laws.
  • Consult with corporate attorneys on complex legal compliance matters.

Data Privacy & Employee Protection

  • Oversee compliance with personal data privacy regulations, particularly regarding employee information.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure consistent disciplinary strategies and data protection practices.

Training & Awareness

  • Lead employee training and awareness sessions on legal and compliance issues.
  • Promote a culture of integrity and ethical behavior across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in compliance, including at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial processes, regulatory frameworks, and international compliance standards.
  • Proven experience in internal investigations, data privacy, trade compliance, and policy implementation.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in the oil & gas or drilling sector is highly preferred.
