Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities
- Summarization and reporting of complex and disparate datasets via dynamic dashboards using Power BI
- Administration and support of Software discovery tools (such as: SCCM, BDNA, Flexera, Service Now)
- Assist in Infrastructure upgrades, security compliance and remediation.
- Effective communication between EY & Clients for a productive collaboration
- Working on multiple projects with shifting priorities
- Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, model project strategies and delivering results in challenging situations
- Foster and develop strong networks (local, area, global) with key service line champions in the firm
Skills and attributes:
To qualify for the role you must have:
- A third level degree or higher/bachelor s degree minimum
- 2 - 6 years of SAM or Software License Compliance Audit experience
- A good experience of working with BI Tools (such as Tableau, Power BI)
- A good experience of working with Software Discovery tools (such as Flexera, BDNA, SCCM, Service Now)
- Knowledge of Active Directory, virtualization technologies, network topologies, software vendor license agreements and licensing terms
- Understanding of IT Processes, IT Infrastructure (applications, databases and operating system) and related technologies i.e. Oracle, Windows, Linux etc.
- Outstanding Microsoft Excel skills including the ability to analyse complex and disparate data sets using a combination of pivot tables and functions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with good attention to detail
- Works well in a diverse team and enjoys a dynamic environment where remote working is required
- Proven experience in software asset management, IT asset management, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of software licensing models and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in asset management tools and software inventory systems.
- Analyze software usage data to identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization of software assets.
- Recommend software solutions that align with business needs while minimizing costs.
- Expertise in monitoring software usage to ensure compliance with licensing agreements of vendors like Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, VMware etc and identify any potential risks or violations.
- Experience of working with legal and procurement teams to negotiate software licenses and renewals.
