Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards, including site investigations, data analysis, and feasibility studies.
  • Provide expert technical advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of civil engineering matters, from infrastructure design to environmental impact assessments and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough site investigations and assessments, including soil testing, surveys, and environmental studies, to inform design decisions and mitigate risks.
  • Prepare comprehensive project proposals, reports, and presentations, effectively communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Oversee the construction phase of projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality control, and safety protocols.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations, continuously enhancing your technical expertise and industry knowledge.
  • Manage project budgets and financial performance, monitoring costs, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project coordination and communication, resolving any design or construction challenges.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical training and support to foster their professional development.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on consulting.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., AASHTO, IBC, etc.).
  • Proven experience in infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, water resources, or similar fields.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
