Roles & Responsibilities

Principal Accountabilities

  • Carry out work relating to the HEOR business areas (health economic modelling, HTA submissions, targeted review of literature, value communication, market access strategy and outcomes research) to a high standard which meets or exceeds client expectations.
  • End-to-end health economic outcomes projects not limited to draft modelling plans, input to the development/ adaptation of complex health economics models, local data sourcing, search, collection and generation and produce support materials for completed economic models, e.g. reports and training programmes
  • Project management / client liaison including client management tasks, attend client and other external meetings and presentations of own research / analysis
  • Carry out abstract review, paper selection and data extraction
  • Plan, prepare and conduct primary interviews with KOLs and other stakeholders/ experts as part of HEOR project execution
  • Moderate round table discussions and similar groups of key opinion leaders (KOLs) in various scientific events
  • Develop and write literature review reports and carry out grey literature reviews
  • Draft, revise, submit and present abstracts, posters and manuscripts for publication/ conference proceedings based on economic models, literature reviews and other HEOR work. Assist in the submission process
  • Carry out research and draft reports for projects delivering results to clients on pricing, reimbursement, and market access
  • Support business development / internal initiatives i.e. Produce partial initial drafts of proposals based on client RFPs and supporting information, participate in internal disseminations

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including grammatical/technical writing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communicate clearly, effectively and confidently with others
  • Demonstrate abilities in collaboration with others and independent thought leaders
  • Demonstrates confidence and maturity in most HEOR and HTA submissions
  • Demonstrates good judgement in requesting input from senior staff
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and customers
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Must be computer literate, and proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and should have ability to build HEOR models
  • Confidence in building relationship with customer and discussing HEOR and HTA issues with customers in person, via e-mail or on the telephone.

Desired Candidate Profile

Educational Background

  • Strong academic track record including MSc or PhD in health economics with at least 6 or more years of practical experience in related subject preferably in Pharma industry as a part of market access/HEOR teams

Experience

  • Prior experience and interest in the healthcare and life science industries
  • Project management and customer facing experience.
  • Willingness to adapt and ability to work under tight timelines

Additional Competencies

  • Familiarity with HTA submissions in Middle Eastern region.
  • Ability to integrate, interpret, and summarize data from a variety of sources in a clear and concise manner.
  • In depth knowledge of SFDA economic submission and associated regulations. Good understanding of principles of health technology assessment and of medical terminology across a range of therapeutic areas.
