Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Review of risks involved in various tenders and reporting those risks to the tendering team for consideration in tender pricing.

  • Review of Pre-Tender and Post-Tender JV Agreement drafts, and Service Agreement Drafts in coordination with the Company internal departments to obtain comments and to finalize the agreements for execution with the counterparts.

  • Review of the Non-Disclosure Agreements and Confidentiality Undertakings towards various Employers to facilitate the receipt of tender documents.

  • Drafting of contractual letters in English and Arabic languages towards the Engineer / Employer/JV Partner.

  • Support projects and other departments to review the contractual matters.

  • Review of the settlement agreements with Employers to facilitate contractual / commercial close out of various projects.

  • Collaboration with the HQ Legal Affairs Department in reviewing and endorsing the company's legal defenses or appeals prepared by external lawyers (backup documentation, and review of the defense or appeal statements) in cases of legal pursuits.


Desired Candidate Profile

  • BSc. Civil Engineering or Certified Quantity Surveyor with experience above 10 years.

  • Preferable to have a Membership of RICS and or CIArb.

  • Good knowledge of FIDIC forms of contract and other standard forms of contracts.

  • Good experience of claims submission and variations.

  • Good negotiations skills to preserving the company’s interests towards the Employers, the subcontractors, suppliers, and the JV partners.

  • Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
